You get a fragrant waft of saffron and roasting meats as soon as you enter this tiny Afghan spot, located in a Van Dorn Street Strip Mall. You can get sambosa (a pastry stuffed with ground beef) for four bucks or a chicken kabob for nine bucks. If you have never tried this unique cuisine you can try their authentic plate of Qaboli Palaw which is lamb served with rice, carrots, raisins and almonds for ten bucks. Finish off the meal with their freshly made baklava.
