American Grill is located in the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel, well within the L'Enfant Plaza deadzone known for buildings projecting a 1984-ish doom on our fair city. The restaurant is a little gloomy without any windoes (not that there's much to see outside) but they serve American favorites like grilled chicken, lobster, steak and shrimp. With burgers costing 13 bucks, the Grill might be an okay option if you're staying at the hotel, but otherwise it's not worth going out of your way.
