It’s probably the first place mentioned to tourists when they ask, “so where’s a good place to eat?” It’s said that Ben’s is the only business on the strip to survive the 1968 riots so the 1950’s decor can easily be identified as authentic. A high-energy restaurant with an efficient staff that’ll get you in and out, Ben’s Chili Bowl attracts a large and diverse crowd daily. You can expect a long wait, and don’t be surprised if it stretches outside. But it’s worth the wait, the chilidogs, half smokes and milkshakes are terrific.
