On the red line and looking for a bar? Colonel Brooks’ Tavern Bar is right across the street from the Brookland metro stop. Most nights it’s a nice place to get a meal and relax. Tuesday nights is when the place begins to jump. If you haven’t heard Dixieland jazz before, this is a great place to experience a sound that will have your foot tapping and head bobbing. You will probably be joined by Catholic University students who are a large part of the majority here. If departing late, you should be aware of your surroundings and stick with friends.
