If you're looking for a late night meal to hit the spot, and you're tired of giant pizza slices, empanadas or fast food, maybe an authentic Philly cheesesteak will hit the spot. Washington D.C. has long awaited the arrival of a cheesesteak joint that compares to those in the City of Brotherly Love, and with their faithful use of cheese whiz, JJ's definitely knows their stuff. However, they also offer other succulent variations on the classic cheesesteak, including the Mayor Of Istanbul (turkey everything, including the bacon), the Liberty Bell (marinate chicken and provolone), and even a veggie cheesesteak.
JJ's is open every night at least an hour past last call, so it's never too late to try it out.And they've got our very own Samy K's stamp of approval!
