Even if you have to wait to be seated at the Afterwords Café, you won’t be bored since it is attached to one of DC’s favorite independent bookstores, Kramer’s. This bookstore/café combo has fed the hungry stomachs and minds of D.C. since 1976. Afterwords has been a DC staple for over 30 years and is also known for its overstuffed sandwiches and delicious sweet desserts. A recommended food item on the menu; moroccan baby lamb chops. Taste lamb like you never have before. A stroll around the large selection of books, will be just the work-out you were looking for. No matter what neighborhood you actually live in, it is your local hangout.
