This is not the place for kids, especially at night. It's very hip, fun, and the food is out of this world. Much better than I expected. We got there and was told there was a 1 1/2 hr- 2 hr wait. We stood by the bar and had some drinks. I had a rose wine that was pretty good. We sat down after about 1 hr 15 min at a table and the waiter was so attentive and on his toes! I had a wonderful dry but sweet riesling and we got the trio appetizer. (at that point, I was wishing I had ordered a burger because omg they are AMAZING!). Then we had a large pizza which was enough for the two of us and more (my boyfriend is a big eater and loves well made food). It was hot, tasty, slightly spicy and just delicious. We are both from NY and the taste reminded us a little of home with a DC flair. Lastly, we had a desert trio of molten chocolate cake, gelatto, and doughnuts. I love chocolate but those doughnuts were the most amazing little things! It was quiet enough in the seating area to feel intimate but the tables are crowded together. We sat in a corner so this did not bother us. The wait staff were helpful and friendly and accomodating. The atmosphere was very nice and had some class to it (hard to find sometimes in the DC area). The value was amazing. We each had 2 drinks (2 gin/tonic for him, 2 wine glasses for me plus he had a beer also. We got the appetizer, the pizza, and the desert and all together with a 22% tip we spent $75. That's amazing. We had so much fun that we got home and realized we had been there 3 hours and forgot all about going to see a movie afterward. I loved it. It was a fun, hip, sophisticated spot that we will certainly return to! Make sure you try the burger. You will not regret it!
