Don't be deterred when you approach 1750 New York Ave. NW and see a '70's-style office building, no sign of a restaurant/bar in sight. Hidden in the lower level of this Union headquarters building is one of the city's best kept secrets- a surprisingly roomy restaurant that is, despite appearances, not a building cafeteria but open to the public. You can't miss the ornately carved white doors standing out in the midst of all the '70's brown. Rather than DC's see-and-be-seen, this is a place to be anonymous, unless of course you work in the building. Get the Negotiations going with a cold one plus burger, sub or hot reuben sandwich.
