The very definition of a greasy spoon, Pete's Diner is a trip: laminated menus, mismatched plates and silverware, and walls covered in memorabilia ranging from Native American photos to police badges. The Chinese women who run the diner are incredibly friendly and service is fast. Be sure you bring cash as they don't take credit cards here, but you won't need much: You’d be hard pressed to find anything over $6 on the menu, from pancakes to omelets to the Reuben sandwich.
