Cathal Armstrong is one of the great chefs of the DC metro dining scene. Restaurant Eve is his award winning restaurant of modern American cuisine with touches of classical French influence, which boasts a casual bistro, formal tasting room and polished but approachable fire-lit bar. The décor of the bistro is subtly playful and the tasting room unpretentiously chic, and the cuisine is well, flat out amazing. Committed to seasonal cooking and supporting local farms, Chef Armstrong serves up divine plates in the bistro like homemade lobster and lemon ravioli with basil, whereas in the prix-fixe formal tasting room you’ll find unique offerings like pan roasted farm quail with leg confit, swiss chard and foie gras jus. Here the palate is tested yet tempted.
