Giant servings of prime rib, filet mignon, New York strip and an even larger selection of seafood are available at the Prime Rib on K Street; this place is the definition of swank. Live piano and bass music are performed nightly next to the bar. The décor is a mix of black, gold, mirrors and leopard print, based on a 1940s design aesthetic. A tie and jacket are required after 5 p.m., and if you’re interested in being surrounded by opulence in a romantic setting Prime Rib is a must. Just make sure you have reservations and the right attire, or you may have to deal with some of the finicky staff.
