Tonic at Quigley’s Pharmacy’s massive three story building is almost excessive in size. It seems only fitting since it resides on George Washington University campus, currently the most expensive college in America. The historic building founded in 1891 was a soda shop, student hangout, GW geography department building and now a restaurant serving typical American food: burgers and pizza. Instead of fries, customers are served tater tots with their burgers and sandwiches. It’s an authentically GWU hang out.
