Revamped from Mangoes, a more bohemian locale, Jin is the type of restaurant and lounge you may find in, say, Manhattan (but without the cover charge). The food is not the focus here; there are other priorities such as drinking, listening to the ambient background music, looking cool and lounging on modern furniture. However, it’s not uncommon for neighborhood types to stop by during the week for beer and tender Caribbean jerk wings spiced with tamarind and topped with crème fraiche. The conch fritters also go along with the Asian-Caribbean fusion theme and carry an unexpected kick. Dip them in the spicy aioli sauce. So good.
