The rich warm reds and yellows of the sofas and chairs accent the unusual copper pipe wall light installation that greets you when you walk in to Penang's sophisticated yet comfortable space. Directly in front is the modern bar and to your right is a lounge area that features excellent people-watching of both 19th and M Streets. Go left for the more formal dining room. Penang also has a very large outdoor patio. Signature dishes include ikan merah (quick fried whole red snapper), roti canai (Indian style pancakes) and sarang burung (fried taro with scallops, squid, shrimp and corn).
