BRABO by Robert Wiedmaier (Brasserie Beck and Marcel's) brings a bold new approach to Old Town Alexandria’s historical area dining scene. Wiedmaier and Chef de Cuisine Chris Watson will present guests with a distinctive culinary experience, with a menu that sources ingredients and products from Virginian and eco-friendly farmers. Known for his signature Belgian inspirations, Wiedmaier delivers a modern menu that focuses on the finest meats and seafood available, regularly calling upon the Mid-Atlantic’s seasonal bounty.

The custom-made copper bar is a major focal point of the dining room and a welcoming gathering place for a glass of wine, a Belgian beer or a savory dish from the lunch or dinner menu. To complement the restaurant’s menu, a comprehensive wine list of 140 wines have been created, 50 of which are priced less than $50.00 a bottle.

Next door to BRABO, in a charmingly restored 150-year old historic building, is BRABO Tasting Room, which offers lunch and dinner daily, from 11:30 a.m. until closing. This stylish, inviting restaurant offers casual dining. The wood-burning oven is a featured focal point and the centerpiece for menu items such as the three wood-fired tarts Smoked Duck, Gorgonzola with Walnuts and Arugula; Braised Pork Belly with Caramelized Onions and Roasted Red Peppers and Fresh Mozzarella with Virginia Prosciutto and Baby Arugula.
