It's hard to recommend El Salvadoreno as it is generally known as an unsafe location. A fall 2007 stabbing drew unwanted citywide attention to the restaurant and club. A new bulky bouncer is overly stern--don't think about taking a photo in that place--but bartenders and waiters are friendly and accomodating. Locals will give newcomers a staredown but will soon return watching the wall-size projection TV at the front of the restaurant playing television and sporting events. Beef and seafood soup is the draw here and there's a dish called Ceviche Viagra. (Insert dirty joke here.)
