Tony Cheng's is something of a legend in Chinatown, one of the last remaining authentic restaurants from the "old days" before the recent redevelopment. (Mr. Cheng himself is often considered the "mayor of Chinatown.") The restaurant offers two separate dining experiences; downstairs is the barbecue, where you choose your ingredients and the chef prepares it in front of you on a giant skillet, and upstairs is for the Asian and seafood enthusiasts, with specialties like Cantonese roast duck and Dungeness crab. They also serve dim sum, if any of the above aren't your thing.
