DC Coast belongs to the same restaurant family as Acadiana, Ceiba, and TenPenh. Its building has a distinctive art deco architectural style, and a statue of a mermaid greets diners upon entry. The restaurant's name comes from founding chef’s experience working on three coasts: the Mid-Atlantic, the Gulf and the West coasts. The restaurant is known for its seafood and his signature dish, Chinese-style smoked lobster.
