Since 1979 the Ice House Cafe and Oyster Bar has been receiving rave reviews about its exotic and delicious cuisine: they serve ostrich, folks. Items such as rack of lamb, ahi tuna and other "tres chic" delicacies populate the menu and of course you can't visit Ice House Cafe without ordering oysters. The wait staff is friendly and you can either linger at the bar or sample their tasty fare for lunch or dinner. This place has become a Herndon landmark, so to speak--everybody has heard of it. The prices are up there, but given the royal treatment, it's worth it. They also have live jazz every Friday and Saturday night, so jazz aficionados, stop by.
