Not every theme restaurant has to be tacky and obvious; Zola embraces its role as the culinary arm of the neighboring International Spy Museum with a sleek, modern décor accented with wall displays of declassified documents from the Cold War. Though it boasts its “straight forward American cuisine,” Zola’s menu is far from ordinary with offerings like Roasted Vanderose Farms Pork Loin and Prosciutto Seared Skate Wing. Centrally located among some of the best theaters in the District, this casual-upscale bistro makes a convincing argument to be the premier pre-show dinner spot with its special pre-event $30 prix fixe menu.
