Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar

From Cleveland, Ohio comes an exciting new Latin restaurant known as Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar. This is only Paladar’s second location in the entire country and we’re lucky they chose Annapolis. They specialize in unique Latin cuisine which fuses Caribbean/Latin flavors with your typical comfort foods. Unlike your typical tex-mex stuff with cheeses and spiciness, Paladar has a brighter and savory taste with sweet and fresh ingredients providing the flavor and color.

Paladar has all your favorite alcohols and sprits but is specifically categorized as a rum bar for its more than 50 types of rum in stock. The rums range from your typical light whites to darker aged spicy rums. Aged rum can be as complex and can have a range of characteristics just like aged cognac or scotch but only cost half as much. They offer Rum Flights where you can sample three types of rum in 1 oz. pours. These are great for rum newbies.

And don’t forget to try their traditional mojitos which are out of this world. They use about 15 leaves of mint, half a lime, and toss in a fresh stick of sugar cane into each glass.
