Walking into Tropicana "El Majahual" there is a friendly face greeting you at the door with a huge smile. The person happens to be the owner - a very polite man genuinely concerned that his customers have a good time - becuase he is ready to inform you about happy hour. On Monday and Tuesday, customers can partake in happy hour from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. In the bar area of the restaurant, there is a stereo system blasting spanish music with some patrons taking part in a two step dance while others clap on enthusiastically. The spacious dining area to the left is quiet since most are enjoying happy hour. However, when customers are ready to eat they can choose from Salvadorean, Peruvian or Cuban good. The New York steak tacos are a favorite along with pollo saltado, fresh boneless chicken sautéed in olive with red onions. After dinner, enjoy the creamy flan or try a mango milkshake.
