Sadly, there’s no goo machine (the giant contraption by which the doughnuts get their sugary coating) in the Dupont Circle outpost of the beloved chain. The doughnuts are delivered fresh to this location from a nearby factory store, not made on site, but they still taste great. The beloved original glazed has been joined by several dozen other gooey good versions, including glazed cinnamon and New York cheesecake. This small, triangular location has a few seats but most people take their coffee and doughnuts to go, making their selections from the brightly colored menu boards and the glass-front display cases.
