This retro diner-style restaurant chain seeks to recreate the feel-good America of the 50s – minus the Cold War paranoia. The atmosphere is predictably nostalgic and the food familiar and comforting, including such national favorites as hamburgers, American (not French) fries, freshly baked apple pie and hand-dipped shakes and malts. You even get a nice dose of entertainment thanks to the singing and dancing waitstaff, decked out in their diner hats and poodle skirts.
