The outside sign tells you that Gourmet Shish Kebab is an Indian and Pakistani restaurant. However, you'll find that the restaurant, painted yellow and trimmed in green, caters to various other cultures from Iraq to Greek cuisine. The restaurant opened in 1996 and serves over 20 diverse dishes. The establishment is especially known for its healthy menu where eveything is low-carb and nothing is fried; all meat is 85 to 90% lean, no fat. Every dish is prepared inside the restaurant with an open cooking space allowing customers to see their food being prepared. Their tandoori bread is also cooked in a special oven in plain sight. On the menu you can choose from their variety of kebab platters such as kofta, chicken and beef, while vegetarian specials include falafels served with tandoori bread, humus and salad, or fool emdamus which has fava beans, sauteed onions and peppers.
