Marco Polo was an adventurous explorer, but his namesake restaurant in Vienna follows the same road traveled by so many area Italian restaurants, with a fussily decorated dining room reminiscent of your grandma’s parlor and serving typical dishes like veal scaloppini and chicken marsala. Things pick up on Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons when the restaurant is given over to a popular prime rib buffet. Marco Polo also does a brisk banquet business in their large gathering room, where caterers bring the food to you.
