Straddling the gap between Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle, the Pines is your only chance for fine Italian dining in the shadow of the Chinese Embassy. Being the only eatery on a primarily residential stretch of Connecticut Avenue has its pluses and minuses, but Pines is always spacious, low key and even does delivery via Takeout Taxi and Ala Carte. A neighborhood staple in a lesser tread part of town.
