Foggy Bottom didn't know what it was in for when Ristorante La Perla chef/owner Vittorio Testa opened his doors in 2002. But the city sure  caught on. La Perla's delicious Italian cuisine has become a favorite among business people, Capital Hill-types, state department officials and VIPs. Testa can cook just about anything, and most people want to take home his marinara sauce. Everything on his menu is special, including the Vitello Marianna Scalfaro which features tender veal with jumbo crabmeat, asparagus and mozzarella cheese sauteed in a lemon, butter and white wine sauce.
