If you visit Jerk Hill, you might recognize the owner, Ransford Buckner from his appearances on WUSA 9. Buckner does cooking demos for the station every couple of months. Like him, his restaurant is laid back and casual. Come in for some home-style cooking…Jamaican style. In the four years that the restaurant has been open, Buckner has become known around town for his jerk chicken and his friendliness. The Jamaican native brought more of just a taste of home with him to his store. He also sells Jamaican movies and music at his place, which you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Don’t let the “jerk” fool you, stop by and say hi to Buckner and you’ll leave with a new friend.
