There is something comforting about Yosaku's lack of slick, trendy ambiance. Since 1982 the restaurant has focused specifically on Japanese cuisine with an emphasis on sushi and has inspired a loyal following. The interior dining room is sparse but manages an authentic feel and the large front patio is well kept and bordered by flower boxes. Cooked dishes include a variety of beef and seafood options as well as noodle soups. While plenty of Washington restaurants may carry on, there is something to be said for trusting your raw fish entree to an old neighborhood standby.
