Of the many Mexican restaurants along Kenilworth Avenue, El Tapatio is at the top. That’s because they serve more than your average tacos and enchiladas, thanks to the owners rbinging the flavor of their hometown to Bladensburg. Customers come in for the Birria de Chivo Estilo Jalisco, which is a special dish from Guadalajara, Mexico. Like the other Mexican restaurants, El Tapatio has a jukebox that is always playing Mexican songs. But again, they take a step above the rest and added a karaoke machine, which gets used every weekend. This place is welcoming, popular and will only grow as they plan to expand the restaurant for a bar and pool tables.
