We figure that somewhere there must be an Uncle Julio (real or imaginary) who knew what he was doing in the kitchen and decided to make a fun, creative way to serve interesting and unusual Mexican food. This Rio Grande Cafe serves the usual yummy Mexican favorites (tacos, enchiladas and so on), but the real culinary treats are such exotic delicacies as the frog legs and the quail. The joint is jumping even on a lazy Thursday afternoon, and Uncle Julio's bartender can concoct any spirit you desire while you enjoy the tasty menu items either at the bar or in the massive dining section. A special note: the complimentary chips and salsa are out of this world and worth a trip to this Fairfax destination alone.
