With towering concrete and glass of the office building rising directly above this Farragut West restaurant, the white-wood clad Rumors restaurant and bar looks almost comically out of place. Why is there a porch jutting out onto the crowded sidewalk? Rumors is the perfect Washington oasis: ample outdoor seating, plenty of TVs, a great happy hour and an open, airy inside that fills up with office workers at lunch and after work. The menu skews American and the Happy Hour drink specials are definitely worth a visit.
