Penn Quarter Sports Tavern has the look and feel of a Cheers-inspired sports pub, that is, if Cheers had 60-inch plasmas and was crawling with lively boozers in their mid-to-late-20s. Located just three blocks from the Verizon Center, this is an ideal spot to grab a quick bite and down a few pints before a Wizards or Caps game. Warm lighting, a homey décor and a menu featuring signature sandwiches and unique takes on American classics make the Tavern a great choice for non-fans as well. If it’s too noisy inside with a big game on, check out the outdoor patio.

March Madness

Since I'll be glued to my television all week watching my teams compete for the NCAA Championship, I thought I'd share some of my favorite spots to catch a game. PS--Pitt's going all the way this year!
