The original Mar De Plata (now with a sister location in Dupont) serves authentic Spanish cuisine from the country's Mediterranean region. The setting may not impress but the menu will; it begins with classic Spanish tapas, moving on to the expected paellas (four varieties) and the house specialty Zarzuela, fresh seafood in saffron sauce. The wine menu expands its scope to include selections from Italy and Argentina as well as Spain. Go somewhere else for sparkling ambiance; Mar De Plata is focused on food served with a smile.
