Located in an aging strip mall in Chantilly, Thai Basil is an exotic treat wrapped in a non-descript storefront exterior. Set foot inside, and you’ll be surrounded by walls accented with authentic Thai décor and the aroma of curry wafting up from the restaurant’s most popular selection of dishes. Basil is featured prominently on the menu (go figure), but the place draws from lots of flavors and spices and features many coconut based dishes on their more than 60 item menu. The owner and executive chef has published several Asian-themed cookbooks, and her international background shines through in the ambiance of the place.
