Welcome to June! And to wipe away that June gloom, we’ve got some TV highlights to brighten up your weekend.

Friday, June 5
What: Whale Wars
When: 9 p.m. ET/PT on Animal Planet
Why: If you haven’t seen “Whale Wars” before, it’s literally about saving the whales, and kicking some pirate booty (sorry, pun definitely intended). "Whale Wars" follows the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as they seek to end Japanese whaling once and for all. The premiere of season two of “Whale Wars” promises collisions at sea, harrowing nautical maneuvers and more aggressive Japanese defenses against the Sea Shepherds this time around. Think "Free WIlly"... times 10,000.

Check out this preview of the new season:

Also on Friday: “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX; “Batman the Brave and the Bold” at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on the Cartoon Network.

Saturday, June 6
What: Worst Week
When: 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS
Why: After ratings plummeted, "Worst Week" was given the axe by CBS this past May. The last episode will be shown this Saturday, so if you need to say goodbye to Sam and the gang, now’s the best week to do it. The premise for this series finale: When Sam gives it his all to help the Clayton's prepare for Dick's birthday party, he loses his pants and some dignity in his effort to make everything perfect. (Wonder why this show was canceled...?)

Also on Saturday: “Harper’s Island” at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS; “Pushing Daisies” at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Sunday, June 7
What: Tony Awards
When: 8 p.m. live ET on CBS
Why: Neil Patrick Harris hosts the 63rd annual Tony Awards live from Radio City Music Hall, with performances by Elton John and the cast of “Billy Elliot,” as well as Dolly Parton and the cast of “9 to 5.” Didn't know your favorite “How I Met Your Mother” troublemaker has a passion for the theater? Harris made his Broadway debut in 2002 as part of the replacement cast in “Proof,” and he later played the master of ceremonies in “Cabaret.” This awards show is going to be legen—wait for it!—dary.

Also on Sunday: “Gene Simmon's Family Jewels” at 9 p.m. ET/PT on A&E; “The Next Food Network Star” at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the Food Network; “Army Wives” at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime.
